City of Duncan – Pine Ave Utility and Streetscape
Upgrade Project Duncan, BC

Leuco Construction was the Prime Contractor for water, storm, sanitary, and streetscape upgrades for a residential road in Duncan, BC. Working closely with the City of Duncan and residents, we were able to provide service upgrades and transportation improvements to the community. Works were coordinated to ensure residents maintained access to their homes and experienced minimal disruption to their water and sanitary services. The project included deep trench work and shallow grade gravity mains. Streetscape improvements included new concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, and streetlighting.

City of Prince Rupert
Beach Place Storm and Sewer Replacement

Leuco Construction was the Prime Contractor for storm, sanitary, and streetscape upgrades for a residential road in Prince Rupert, BC. The works consisted of removal and replacement of 160m of Sanitary Sewer; new installation of 150m of Storm Drain; and, lining 14m of existing Sanitary Sewer. Working closely with the City of Prince Rupert and residents, we were able to provide service upgrades and transportation improvements to the community. Works were coordinated to ensure residents-maintained access to their homes and experienced minimal disruption to their services. The project included deep trench work and poor soil conditions.

Alberni Clayoquot Regional District
Walker Road Watermain Replacement

Leuco Construction was the Prime Contractor for approximately 815 lineal meters of 150 mm dia. PVC watermain on Walker Road, including 37 water services, appurtenances and surface restoration.

HWY 19A Culvert Relining

The work consists of installing a 30m 600mm culvert under the highway through an existing deteriorated csp culvert, replacement of manhole and injection of 10 cubic meters of grout encasing and filling the cavity between culverts. All on the beach and in the snow!

Museum Way Rehab

The work consisted of removal of approximately 320m2 of the existing cobblestones and road gravels. Salvaged cobblestones were packaged and delivered to the City’s public works yard. 

Once the cobblestones and road structure were removed, the membrane on structure was cleaned for inspection by the Engineer; and required membrane on structure was repaired.

Once the membrane was accepted by the Engineer, drainage was installed prior to installation of new road structure and reinforced stamped concrete.

New Cross Pacific Undersea Fiber Optic Cable

The work consisted of pulling the cable ashore through a 1.25 km long HDD bore pipe with a 3.75 inch inside diameter using a winch on the beach.

The Cable ship was positioned offshore approximately 1.35 km in sufficient water depth. Once installed into the Beach Man Hole, Armor clamp installation, Split pipe installation from HDD entry pit to BMH, burial on the beach and from the end of the HDD to ships plow down position and restoration of the landing site took place.

Then 6 km of Fiber Optic Cable and power was installed through ducting and manholes from the BMH to the CLS. This was followed up by the installation of ducting, cable and construction of the OGB (Ocean Ground Bed).

Recirculating Water Feature Wall

The work consisted of designing and building a Recirculating Memorial Water Feature Wall, located in the Civic Cemetery. It started with hydro vac-ing the foundation site. Once complete the base gravel was installed and concrete forms constructed.

After installation of the concrete and reinforcing steel the forms were stripped and the site was backfilled. Then the framing and underground utilities were installed followed by a concrete scratch coat and the rock facing.

Port Way Trestle Bridge Repairs and Upgrades

The work consists of repair and replacement of bridge deck boards, Concrete curb repair, Installation of temporary shoring, replacement of main support Mud Sile and replacement of hardware through out.

Aggie Hall Parking Lot Expansion

The work consisted of excavation and prep of project location, Geotech engineering and reporting, construction of three engineered Alan Block retaining walls totaling 140Sq Meters, installation of underground water works and 500Sq Meters of Asphalt paving and curb work.

Coldbox Builders – Poultry Plant Expansion Project

The work consists of excavation and prep of project location, Geotech engineering and reporting, the construction of 7600SQ FT Foundation, framing, installation of underground water, Sewer, Power and drain works. Along with two Storm Tech Chamber systems and various other civil and reclamation works.

Mill Rd Storm Sewer Upgrades

The work consists of excavation and removal of 150m of existing storm drain and installation of 450mm concrete storm. Includes several CB’S and MH’S. Followed by Boulevard and Road restoration.

Eaglecrest Watermain and Service Upgrades

The work consists of Water Main upgrades, including Three sections of main approx 100-200m. Installation into existing culdesacs. Included Fire Hydrants and 27 Service upgrades along with abandonment of old ac main.

Village of Cumberland – 2019 Road and Utility Works Cumberland, BC

Leuco Construction was the Prime Contractor for utility and roadworks upgrades for three residential roads in Cumberland, BC. Residents received upgrades to water, sewer, and storm utilities, and road restructuring and resurfacing. Working with the Village of Cumberland and residents we were able to complete the project swiftly with minimal disruptions to traffic, residential access, and utility services.

City of Nanaimo – CINNABAR VALLEY WATERMAIN

Leuco Construction is the Prime Contractor for the replacement of watermains on Turnabout View, Centennary Drive and Richardson Road with the installation of approximately 915 lineal metres of pipe, associated fittings and service connections plus related works. The Works also included the replacement of a PRV station at the intersection of Stacey Crescent & Cinnabar Drive.
